 Getting into groups. Assigning Roles. Pick a script. Production Meeting

First we got into groups, then we picked roles we wanted to do.

I’m the Producer. Yash is the Director. Tom Valentine is the DOP. Ryan is on sound and Joe Johnson is Editing.

Our group is Producing my script As Happy As Larry, I have changed the name since though as I changed the ending but never the title. When uploading to the forum blog I couldn’t think of a name so just called it Larry’s Revenge so at least I could post it. Since then I have renamed the production Piss Taker as I think it fits well with what Daniels character represents but will probably change again in the future.

Our group has created an instagram group chat where we had a little discussion about our roles and made sure everyone knows exactly what they’re doing. I have already been looking for locations and arranged a meeting with my old boss who owns a restaurant. I have written a list of questions to ask him;

1. If he knows anyone or anywhere we can shoot

2. Fire, Asbestos and coronavirus.  certificates, precautions and Guidance

3. Equipment storage

4. Food and Drink

5. Can we start shooting from 23rd November

6. Locking up procedure as it has to be at night when they are closed.

He’s pretty easy going so I reckon shooting anywhere in the building is on the cards. He must trust me too as he’s not bothered that I still have the pub key and I haven’t worked there since summer.

This location came to mind for the Kitchen scene and the cellar scene. The Kitchen in the film is just an ordinary domestic kitchen but at the pub there’s flats upstairs with kitchens in that we could have the keys for and store equipment in too. The cellar might be a problem with risks etc but I’ll have a look anyway.

. I am meeting him on Saturday and I will be taking as many pictures as possible and uploading them to a google drive that our group will all have access to. Yash and Tom are going to start talking about shots and storyboards and are waiting on my pics to give them more of an idea to do so.
